Red twig dogwood is a dense-growing shrub. Its bright red stems provide interest in winter. In spring, clusters of creamy white flowers bloom. White berries grow mid-summer and are attractive to birds. The foliage turns burgundy for fall color. Dogwood does best in moist, well-drained soil, but is adaptable to most soil types and to wet or dry conditions. This shrub is a good choice for hedges or accent. Full sun to part shade.
